I've loved Lolita fashion for some years now but ive only started sewing and crafting Lolita items in like 2010 so this first post is going to be about weather or not i should buy my first brand dress, all the other op's jsk' skirt's and blouses i have are made by me, now i have no problem sewing as i have been since i was 9 and i am 18 now so i have quite a bit of experience in that but i would very much like to own some prints. I've loved angelic pretty for sometime now, and i cant get over how beautiful the prints are! I've fallen in love with the brand, later on i hope to start making my own prints that would be verrrry exciting Im at the moment working on a print of my very own and if that goes well maybe ill start doing commissions again as i used to take commissions for cosplay but that got to busy what with all the props and different characters. But with Lolita all you've gotta do is make a few patterns and your set for the most part, although Im not sure how much of a good idea this will be as i am starting college in the fall which is exciting but i could use the extra work. which brings me to another point:
Lolita in college?
Now i wear lolita for everyday wear and i usually get good reactions[for the most part] but im worried about school and this is most certainly not about feeling like the odd one or feeling like a freak but its just about being taken seriously by my professors and my peers like will they treat me like a child or differently for dressing as lolita ? when i went to high school and i wore lolita to school it was quite a terrible experience but i dont regret it looking back it has made me stronger and helped to thicken my skin a bit. Now i know in college i will just have to apply my self and show them that loli's can be tough too! most people already think im 14 yrs old with out even having on lolita o_o loli clothes make people think im around 10? which i can hardly even see how they would figure that.....i mean im short but 10 yrs old ? cmonnnnnnnn thats absurd!
Another note! these bows i made ^^ the pink/aqua/lavender one goes to a matching OP and the cards/piano/red box goes to a matching cards high waist-ed skirt and im in the process of making a matching vest and Blouse for it ^^ i love the bows there surprisingly not heavy at all and stay on very well maybe ill commission some accessories ^^ anyways bye for now :D
